UK: Transport for Wales, TfW, has commenced testing the first three-car Class 398 tram-train on the 170 km Valley line.
Mongolia: The SKD assembly and testing of the vehicle with a payload of 70 t, supplied by an undisclosed producer, took place at the Tavantolgoi Railway repair facility in Gashuunsukhait.
Kazakhstan: The CEA1 series locomotive is manufactured in Zhuzhou by order of TTT Service, a subsidiary of the private operator SilkwayTransit.
Sweden: The three-car partially low-floor tram has been undergoing refurbishment since June 2024 at the company’s plant in Ostrava, Czechia. The tram is scheduled to enter service this summer.
Iran: The national operator RAI has signed memoranda of understanding with two companies that would provide funds for purchases.

Russia: The trainset, which consists of the TEP70BS diesel locomotive, the EP2DM driving car and modified non-motor cars, is currently undergoing tests at the TMH plant in Demikhovo.
China: By the end of the year, the Chinese steel maker Xinjiang Ba Yi Iron and Steel is going to receive a batch of ten CN10A-C shunters manufactured at the Dalian plant.
South Africa: The country’s Supreme Court has invalidated the contract between Transnet and Wabtec for 233 diesel locomotives. Similar judgments are expected in relation to other contracts with CRRC and Alstom for the supply of a total of 831 locomotives.
