Austria: After many years of testing the DDEMU2 EMUs in the EU, it has been announced that their certification process is nearing completion. The news provoked a wave of criticism from Austria’s railway industry and labour authorities.
Netherlands: A €55 mln project is being implemented by German rail freight operator DB Cargo and Dutch infrastructure manager ProRail.

Lithuania: The Swiss manufacturer and national passenger operator LTG Link showcased a five-car set at Vilnius station.
Germany: The train has been equipped with automation systems, sensors and cameras at the manufacturer’s test and validation centre in Wegberg-Wildenrath.
Spain: The national operator Renfe has confirmed to business publication El Economista that it has received all five affected trainsets.
