Last week the Russian government received the latest progress report on production of the trainset for the Moscow–St Petersburg high-speed line.
Malaysia: The rolling stock arrived from China at the end of last year, following a full cycle of tests at the manufacturer’s plant in Dalian. Now, one electric locomotive and two six-car trainsets are due to cover 8,000 km of test running.
UK: The four-coach Class 220 unit, originally built by Bombardier Transportation in 2000 (acquired by Alstom in 2021), has undergone refurbishment at the company’s Derby facility.
Canada: A fleet of 76 five-section trams began carrying passengers on Line 5 on 8 February.
South Korea: At the end of 2025, the country announced the completion of development of a new high-speed rolling stock model.
