Singapore: The 50 ha Singapore Rail Test Centre, SRTC, allows comprehensive testing of trains and their signalling, power supply and supervisory control systems.
The four-car trainset was delivered from the plant in Beasain, Spain, to Nässjö, Sweden. Before its launch in 2026, it is to have a trial run of at least 20,000 km on the national network.
UK: The passenger operator Arriva Group and the manufacturer have signed a contract for the delivery of nine five-car trainsets with 10 years of maintenance service.
USA: It is planned to add two new assembly facilities, a welding workshop, a sandblasting booth, and a train battery charging station to the manufacturer’s Salt Lake City plant.
Poland: The manufacturer scored the highest points in all three lots of the tender of the operator MPK Kraków announced in the summer of 2024.
Spain: A full-scale mock-up of a head car will be displayed at Plaza de Colón till late April, featuring a passenger interior with seats and areas for wheelchairs.
Japan: The operator has published renderings of the exterior and interior of the 90000 series EMUs.
Germany: The approval was granted by the Federal Railway Authority EBA after a delay caused by changes in the country’s technical regulation. Trial runs and personnel training will begin in the near future.
Switzerland: One of the three-car narrow-gauge Orion EMUs has been fitted with the v+ technology and tested on the 3.7 km Andermatt–Göschenen section with gradients of up to 181‰.
