Michel Boccaccio, the producer's vice president in the region, indicated in an interview with BNamericas that he sees the markets of Brazil, Mexico and Chile as the most promising, and noted the region's major challenges.
Spain: National operator awarded three contracts totalling a value of €858.4 mln for 97 electric trains. All the rolling stock will be manufactured in Spain.
Kazakhstan: The manufacturer is to supply 537 passenger coaches for the KTZ national operator. The deal is claimed to be worth €2.3 bln.
Egypt: Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir announced receiving 37 new coaches from Hungary at the port of Alexandria. An additional purchase of 50 dining coaches has been announced.

Russia: The investment plan of the national railway operator was agreed by the government at the meeting on November 10 and approved by the RZD’s Board of Directors on November 24. Its total volume should amount to $18 bln.
Poland: The production moved from Stadler’s site in Fanipol to Siedlce in Poland due to the sanctions pressure on Belarus.
Germany: The producers have won a tender from DB Fernverkehr. Once the development of the two concepts is completed, a further tender for the production of the first batch of trains is expected to be announced.
