Passenger operators from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania—Elron, Vivi (AS Pasazieru vilciens) and LTG Link—have issued a joint framework tender for up to 20 EMUs.
Japan: Private passenger operator Seibu Railway has unveiled the first rubber-tyred L00 series trainset built by Mitsubishi. Meanwhile, fellow private operator Sagami Railway (Sotetsu) has showcased the first 13000 series set from J-TREC.
Poland: A two-car DM90 set, built by German firm Talbot in the late 1990s and formerly operated in the Netherlands, has undergone conversion. One of its two engines was adapted for hydrogen injection and combustion.
Germany: The Civity platform train (or series 557 under Deutsche Bahn classification) is undergoing testing at the Wegberg-Wildenrath test track in Germany. It is scheduled to enter service by the end of 2027.
Ukraine: The nine-car dual-voltage set, designed for operation at a maximum speed of 200 km/h, was handed over to the national operator Ukrzaliznytsia in February.

Portugal: French manufacturer has finalised a contract with state operator Comboios de Portugal. The deal, worth more than €1 bln, includes the supply of 153 three-car Adessia Stream trainsets.
Russia: An eleven-car trainset is undergoing a cycle of technical and running trials. Specialists are verifying the performance of traction and braking systems, high-voltage equipment, pantographs, and air-conditioning units.
Kazakhstan: The national operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) has received the final batch consisting of 17 units.
