Poland: The city transport operator MPK Wrocław shared images of the production process at the plant in Bydgoszcz.
The new tram is to be launched late in spring after trial and approval. Some more vehicles are currently being assembled.
Three-car six-axle fully low-floor 27 m trams will accommodate 200 passengers. The vehicles will include a supercapacitor energy storage system and regenerative braking to enable traction in the event of a power outage or when it is necessary to enter a track without catenary. Under the 2021 contract, worth PLN 204 mln (€47 mln), Pesa is to supply 24 such trams by January 2025. There is also an option for 16 additional LRVs.

The Twist trams are notable for rotary bogies, which lower the pressure on the rails. The platform allows to assembly two-, three-, or four-car trams with lengths from 23 to 43 m. In addition to Poland, Twist trams are also supplied to Tallinn, Estonia, and Craiova, Romania.
