China: Manufacturer presented the new generation of the “low-speed” maglev trains for domestic operations, the tourist train with panoramic windows, as well as the retro-style double-decker tourist tram for South Korea.
UK: A mock-up of the head car was shown at the Siemens Mobility plant in Goole. It is planned to produce 47 Inspiro trains at the site, but the implementation of the contract depends on the prospects for public funding.
USA: In first years, the site will produce metro cars in order to deliver it to Washington. The volume of investments should be to $70 mln USD.
Russia: Auxiliary converter was developed by KSC for metro trains, which are planned to be purchased from TMH for St. Petersburg. It is also planned to create such components for electric trains and locomotives.
Spain: At the end of 2021, the volume of new CAF orders in this segment amounted to €3 bln, compared to €1.4 bln in the previous year. A significant part of it was a large-scale order on trains for suburban transportation in Paris.
Russia: This was announced by Felix Vinokur, President of PC Transport Systems, in an interview with the Expert magazine. Also, the manufacturer is negotiating supplies to India.
Russia: The order value for PC TS trams is 6.9 bln RUR ($90 mln USD). Also, St. Petersburg launched 2 more tenders for 135 trams with an overall maximum price of 24.4 bln RUR ($320 mln USD).
Russia: Ust-Katav car-building plant (UKCP) plans to invest 958 mln RUR ($12 mln USD) in the construction of a new workshop for the trams production. The company explains its plans with a growing portfolio of orders.
USA: The Japanese manufacturer claimed that it will acquire technology to automatically measure the wheelsets of the 7000-series trains, which make up about 60% of the USA capital’s metro fleet and are now out of service.
