Czechia: The Zacens class tank car tests were held on the VUZ test centre in Velim, Czechia.

The local manufacturer says that the new vehicle is designed to transport heavy oil products, phenol, acids, fertilizers, molten sulphur and other chemicals. The frame structure should ensure easy assembly of a tank car of different specifications and volumes from 40 to 75 m3 depending on the type of freight. NYMWAG CS plans to start delivering the first Spina cars to customers in early 2025.

Founded in 2019, NYMWAG CS focuses on tank cars, hopper wagons, container flatcars and car bogies. The company’s production site is located in Nymburk, Czechia. Spring 2023 saw a joint venture established by NYMWAG and Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, one of the largest Indian freight car manufacturers. The companies plan to produce freight rolling stock at a new site in Kolkata, employing 650 people.
