Russia: This was reported by Yuri Loginov, the executive director of a Russian track machine builder.
Last year, the company signed a contract for the construction of four motor trolleys, resuming their production suspended in 2012. Under another arrangement, with the Moscow Metro, the plant will build two tamping machines. Notably, sales of spare parts have also experienced growth.
According to Loginov, First May Kirov Machine Plant has signed its first export contract for the delivery of the KZh-1473 crane with a lifting capacity of 150 t and is now working on another delivery of 14 such cranes.
In addition, the plant has plans to build eight tamping machines, 21 motor trolleys and other cranes, including overhead travellers for the Selmash Group, a major Russian machine-tool builder. The plant is also establishing the production of wheelsets and furthering the development of a railway crane with a lifting capacity of 200 t.
