Russia: Draft contracts worth RUB 4.1 bln ($46.4 mln) have been published on the government procurement portal after the Ust-Katav Car-building Plant, UKCP, emerged as the sole bidder in tenders announced in late 2023.

The trams are due to be delivered by December.

The first tender is for 30 partially low-floor 71-623-04 trams (RUB 72.5 or $0.8 mln per vehicle, including VAT), and the second is for 25 low-floor 71-628 vehicles (RUB 76.7 mln or $0.87 mln). The specifications describe requirements such as 33 and 38 seats, four asynchronous motors, batteries with a minimum range of 500 m, as well as the ability to accommodate up to 170–187 people and to run up to two in multiple.

In October 2022 and September 2023, UKCP won three tenders for the supply of 85 single-car low-floor trams to Chelyabinsk, Russia. In 2021–2022, the plant produced 30 low-floor 71-628-01 and 30 partially low-floor 71-623-04 trams for the city.
