France: This year, during the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, Urbanloop is to transport passengers between a car parking and a fan zone on a two km line in Montigny-le-Bretonneux.
There will be ten pods in total capable of carrying 240 passengers hourly. The transport company Keolis Group is a line operator.
Urbanloop is rubber-tyred and has a designed speed of 50–60 km/h. Equipped with electric motors and supercapacitors, the pods are powered by the third rail. 2017 saw the beginning of the project and 2022 unveiled an updated design of the vehicle, which the developers say can accommodate up to four people.

Urbanloop will also be used in another French city, Nancy, where the technology project was developed. The three km line is scheduled to be put into full-time service in 2026.
