Germany: The Polish manufacturer has delivered the first bi-directional single-car Moderus Gamma LF 10 AC BD tram to Woltersdorf, near Berlin. The vehicle is now undergoing a trial run.
The contract for the supply of four low-floor trams to Woltersdorf was signed in 2022, and it has become the first export contract for Modertrans. The rolling stock is going to replace the Gotha T57 trams produced more than 60 years ago.

The new Moderus Gamma LF 10 AC BD is almost 15 m long and has six 650 mm single- and 1,300-mm double doors, three on each side. The vehicle can accommodate 76 passengers, 22 of them seated. The tram is equipped with two pivoting bogies which are driven by a total of four 50 kW traction motors, attached to each of the axles.
It is worth noting that, according to the Urban Transport Magazine research, the leader in the German tram market is Alstom with a market share of 36.2%, followed by Stadler (18.6%) and Siemens Mobility (15.4%).
