Thailand: In November, four-car trains started travelling in test mode at 80 km/h on the Pink Line, which runs for 34.5 km, serving a total of 30 stations.

The line received 42 Astom’s Innovia monorail trains (previously owned by Bombardier) with the Cityflo 650 signalling system as well as switches, depot equipment, platform doors, communication and power supply systems. The rolling stock was manufactured at the joint venture of Alstom and CRRC in Nanjing, China.

Construction of the line began late in 2017. Originally, it was scheduled to be opened by June 2022 but the launch was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and project changes.

June saw the Yellow Line put into operation with 30 four-car Innovia trains. In addition to Thailand, three generations of Innovia monorail systems are in service in the USA, Brazil, and China, with new ones being manufactured in Egypt and China.
