Russia: A starting price at a bankruptcy auction was RUR 707 mln (approx. USD 7.6 mln), but it was gradually decreasing.

According to the PRObankruptcy web portal, the technical documentation for the vehicle has been purchased by the Locomotivetransleasing company for RUR 500,000 (USD 5,400). The same company also won the auction in October 2023 and purchased these two 2EV120 dual-system electric locomotives produced in 2015 and 2016.

According to the state business register, the Locomotivetransleasing company was established in January 2023, and its General Director is Aleksey Gubanov. Earlier, a namesake person was a commercial director of the First Locomotive Company. Before going bankrupt, the First Locomotive Company together with Bombardier Transportation, Canada, had constructed the production facilities in Engels, Russia, to manufacture and bring the 2EV120 electric locomotives to the Russian market. At the beginning of 2023, these facilities were purchased by the operator Inter Cargo Company.
