Russia: Rail Service, a Russian co-investor in the manufacturing company, told ROLLINGSTOCK that it is now studying the market conditions and needs to select the types of cars that are most in demand.

In his November interview with Bryanskaya Guberniya, Sergey Kuzmich, first deputy general director of NovoTekhRail, Russia, said that the company was launching three car models into production and building their prototypes. “We are now welding gondola cars and making box and tank car prototypes for future serial production”, NovoTekhRail welder Irina Ivolga wrote on the company’s social media.

NovoTekhRail began operations in 2022 with the launch of a finished axle production line with a capacity of up to 40,000 axles per year. According to Rail Service, 15,000 axles will be manufactured by the end of 2023, with double that number planned for 2024.
