Ukraine: The Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works, KRCBW, has produced two prototypes of a 1,435 mm Sggrss 80 container flatcar that have been tested at EU test sites.

The certificates obtained by the Ukrainian wagon builder have been entered into the database of the EU Railway Agency.

KRCBW has been developing cars for the European market since 2021. According to the company, its Sggrss has a load capacity of 108 t, tare weight of 27 t, and an automatic coupling axle length of 26.4 m.

Earlier this year, TAS Group, which owns Dniprovagonmash, another Ukrainian car builder, acquired more than 40% of the shares in TransANT, Austria. In October, the plant delivered the first modules for interchangeable-body freight cars to the customer and plans to start production of these cars in the future.
