Turkish Özbir Vagon produces two types of track machines for Switzerland

Türkiye: The delivery ceremony took place at the manufacturer’s site in Arifiye.

The national infrastructure operator SBB Bahninfrastruktur is to receive a total of eight machines for catenary maintenance and repair as well as 28 rail cranes.

The Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said that the assembly of this rolling stock will provide an added value of €7 mln to the Turkish economy. According to the official web page of Özbir Vagon, the company takes part in a project of Harsco Rail, USA, to supply 59 track machines for SBB Bahninfrastruktur.

Abdulkadir Uraloğlu also said that Özbir Vagon continues executing two contracts: one with Deutsche Bahn, worth €5 mln, to deliver driver’s cabs for track machines, and the other with Swiss Muller Technologies, worth €1.5 mln, to supply locomotive cabs.
