Poland: The first in the line electric locomotive, powered by DC, was unveiled by Pesa at TRAKO Fair in Gdansk. The four-axle vehicle was designated 304E and is designed for 160 km/h.
Türkiye: This was announced by the country’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
This announcement follows a visit by a delegation from Kazakhstan’s national operator, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, to the Wabtec diesel engine manufacturing plant in Grove City, the USA.
Germany: The vehicle will be undergoing trials at the steel plant of the Salzgitter Group to this October. The conversion to hydrogen was enabled by retrofitting of a diesel locomotive.
Czech Republic: A hybrid locomotive capable of operating from both battery power and overhead lines has been delivered to the VUZ test centre in Velim.
India: The retrofit of the four-axle locomotive, produced by the local manufacturer BHEL, has been carried out by Railway Engineering Works.
Kazakhstan: As part of Central Asia’s key transport and logistics exhibition, the organisers have prepared a comprehensive schedule of business activities.
Canada: The operator Cando Rail & Terminals has completed the retrofit of the four-axle SW1200 locomotive, produced by American EMD in 1955. The vehicle’s key feature is its operability at temperatures of -40 °C.
Kazakhstan: Central Asia’s premier transport and logistics exhibition will be held from 30 September to 2 October in Almaty.
