Slovakia: Three six-car trains, which can run in multiple and reach speeds of 160 km/h, have been put into service on regional lines.
Each train has 611 seats, including 30 in first class, and multi-purpose areas for bicycles, prams and wheelchairs. The new trains offer barrier-free access from 550 mm platforms, with additional retractable steps for lower platforms and a manual boarding ramp for passengers with reduced mobility.

The EU-funded €77 mln contract for these trains was signed between the Slovakian operator ZSSK and Stadler in December 2021. The vehicles were assembled at a Stadler plant in Siedlce, Poland. One of the trains was damaged during testing at the VUZ Velim test centre in Czechia and is expected to enter service in November 2024, after repairs at the plant.
