Pesa produces its first DMU for Ghana

Poland: The two-car Regio160 train is undergoing final tests at the plant in Bydgoszcz, according to the Rynek Kolejowy.

The new train can be delivered to Ghana by the end of the month.

Pesa signed its first-ever contract to supply trains to Ghana in September 2023. Its firm part says that Ghana is to receive two trains, with an option for an additional ten vehicles. The rolling stock will operate on suburban and regional lines.

Pesa has significantly increased its export backlog over the last year. It has received a €860 mln framework contract to supply 91 EMUs to Romania, including maintenance. Another major order involves the delivery of 132 trams to Israel. Moreover, Pesa is executing long-term contracts with the Czech national operator ČD and with the private operator RegioJet.
