UAE: The four-car trainset carried a delegation of representatives from Etihad Rail and oil company Adnoc from Abu Dhabi to Al Dhannah, 250 km away.
It is not known when regular passenger service will commence on the route.
Designed with the country’s climate in mind, the train has eight independent air conditioning units and a three-stage filtration system to control temperature and remove fine sand and dust. Passengers can choose from three classes: first, business and economy.

CRRC delivered the pre-production train with a maximum speed of 200 km/h to the country for testing in autumn 2022 and signed a contract with Etihad Rail for seven trains in March 2023. The new rolling stock will be put into operation on a line, which will connect 11 major cities in the UAE. The line will also be served by CAF push-pull trains.
