Iran: The national operator RAI has signed memoranda of understanding with two companies that would provide funds for purchases.
China: By the end of the year, the Chinese steel maker Xinjiang Ba Yi Iron and Steel is going to receive a batch of ten CN10A-C shunters manufactured at the Dalian plant.
South Africa: The country’s Supreme Court has invalidated the contract between Transnet and Wabtec for 233 diesel locomotives. Similar judgments are expected in relation to other contracts with CRRC and Alstom for the supply of a total of 831 locomotives.
UK: The Peppercorn Class A1 60163 Tornado, produced in 2008 by the local A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, has been successfully tested on the Cambrian line in Wales.

Singapore: The 50 ha Singapore Rail Test Centre, SRTC, allows comprehensive testing of trains and their signalling, power supply and supervisory control systems.
Germany: The freight operator has finished the first leg of the GoA2 locomotive testing.
