China: By the end of the year, the Chinese steel maker Xinjiang Ba Yi Iron and Steel is going to receive a batch of ten CN10A-C shunters manufactured at the Dalian plant.
South Africa: The country’s Supreme Court has invalidated the contract between Transnet and Wabtec for 233 diesel locomotives. Similar judgments are expected in relation to other contracts with CRRC and Alstom for the supply of a total of 831 locomotives.
Germany: This is evident from a recently signed collective agreement between the manufacturer and the IG Metall trade union.
UK: The FreightControl Sentinel system has been installed on the JPA cement tank cars, operated by Heidelberg Materials UK, the British division of the German company.
