Dear visitor!

I am glad to welcome you to the ROLLINGSTOCK Agency website. Today is a very important day for us – our website, which we have been working on for more than three months, has become available to a wide audience.

We see our mission in inspiring industry professionals to develop cooperation, introduce new developments, open up new opportunities and horizons. On the pages of the ROLLINGSTOCK Agency website you will find materials on the most important transactions in the rolling stock markets, new technical solutions from manufacturers, the financial condition of the market players, their purchasing policies, key economic, regulatory and production trends in the industry. The main feature of our site is a unique tag system that allows you to filter publications by industry (locomotives, passenger coaches, freight cars, LRV, etc.), manufacturers of rolling stock and its components, major clients, other organizations associated with the industry, and countries.

The editors of ROLLINGSTOCK Agency are based in Russia. The deep expertise of the editorial team will ensure the availability of English-language information about the markets with a gauge of 1520 mm for specialists at a new qualitative level. In the first years of operation, we do not plan to introduce a paid subscription for our publications, in connection with which they will be available to the widest possible audience.

The rolling stock manufacturing industry is on the verge of global changes. The trend towards sustainable development and reduction of anthropogenic impact on the climate creates the prerequisites for the growth of investments in rail technology as one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport. At the same time, the merger of the largest players, Alstom and Bombardier, launches a whole cycle of structural shifts in the global market order, and the “covidonomics” in the form of changes in passenger behavior and cargo flows, adjustments in supply chains create new challenges for the efficiency of both operators and manufacturers of rolling stock. A number of experts are already predicting a “golden age” for railways. We are not ready to think for centuries, but we definitely expect that the coming years will be very interesting and turbulent for the industry.

I wish you a pleasant acquaintance with our site and interesting reading! We welcome feedback and suggestions for publications from you to our mail ed@rollingstockworld.com, and we also invite you to subscribe to our channels on LinkedIn and Twitter.

Sincerely,

Sergey Belov, ROLLINGSTOCK Agency Editor-in-Chief
