Germany: Designed for monitoring track conditions, the vehicle can accommodate up to four people in its two cabins. Upon customer request, it can be upgraded for remote control or full automation.
The two-axle battery-powered inspection platform is reported to reach a maximum speed of 30 km/h. It is fitted with measurement equipment by Germany’s Vogel & Plotscher. The equipment monitors track geometry and rail wear by scanning the surface to a depth of 7 mm, while also enabling 3D scanning of railway infrastructure. Future upgrades may include ultrasonic and eddy-current flaw detection systems.
