Russia: The manufacturer has shared with ROLLINGSTOCK the technical specifications and a video of the machine, one of the debuts at the PRO//Motion.Expo exhibition in August.
The automated and remotely controlled crawler-mounted A650 machine is intended for levelling, tamping and lining of railways. The robot can reportedly perform with a capacity of 600-700 sleepers per hour. It is able to operate for eight hours when moving self-propelled and leave the track in 180 seconds.

The A650 is a road-rail machine fitted with crawler tracks which let it leave the railway track if necessary. The vehicle can run on crawler tracks at a speed of 3 km/h, while its railway speed is 10 km/h.

Andrei Kroshihin, Profi Group’s General Director, noted that the A650 was demonstrated without a body shell to unveil for the participants of the exhibition the solutions in the equipment assembly. The body shell can be tailored to a customer’s design. The estimated sales potential is over 200 such robots in Russia to meet the needs of railways and urban rail transport, according to the manufacturer.
