Egypt: The relevant Memorandum was signed on 1 May by Kamel al-Wazir, Egypt’s Minister of Transport, and Bruno Le Maire, France’s Minister of Economy and Finance.
France, USA: Kevin Speed, a private operator, and Brightline West, a HSR line operator, plan to contract the manufacturers in the nearest future.
Russia: On 2 May, the inaugural 11-car EMU from TMH commenced commercial service on the Moscow Central Diameter 4, part of the Russian capital's urban rail.
Spain: Currently, the train is undergoing static tests at the plant in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Spain, where another two vehicles are being assembled.
Austria: The group increased its stake from 40% to 61.4%. Two other shareholders, Voestalpine, an Austrian steel producer, and RCG, a freight operator subsidiary of OBB, reduced their stakes to 31% and 7.6% respectively.
USA: The interior design renderings have been released by the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) which is responsible for the Merced–Bakersfield high-speed rail line.
Spain: The next three months will be spent waiting for the acquisition to be authorised by the national government.
