Portugal: Accusations leveled by Stadler and CAF could lead to a delay in the announcement of the winner of the country's biggest tender over the years.
UK: The necessity to prevent body cracking is identified in a report by the UK regulator ORR. It also proposes a six-year plan to modernise the cars of Hitachi Rail trains operating in the country.
Italy: A mock-up of the Hitachi Blues train with traction system, which includes diesel, catenary and batteries, was presented in Florence in March. The first Blues should be delivered to the Tuscany region by the end of 2022.

Portugal: Several global producers, CRRC, Alstom, Siemens, Hitachi, Stadler, CAF, became known as contestants for the state railway operator CP contract for the $927 mln USD supply of 117 electric trains.
UK: HAH-S, the joint venture of French and Japanese manufacturers, has signed contracts with HS2 Ltd. for the supply and maintenance of 54 high-speed EMUs worth £1.97 bln ($2.6 bln USD). The maximum speed of the EMUs should be 360 km/h.
