Germany: Alstom, Hitachi Rail, Siemens Mobility, Stadler and a number of other players unveiled their trains. At the same time, new solutions of locomotive-hauled passenger coaches were presented by Deutsche Bahn.
Germany, Austria: Talgo showed the first ICE L train coach for Deutsche Bahn. In turn, Siemens Mobility presented the interior of a new generation of Viaggio coaches for OBB.
Egypt: The Ministry of Transport and NERIC signed a protocol with the manufacturer to work out the possibility of creating a production site and producing there the first batch of 500 passenger coaches.
Egypt: The country is actively expanding the suppliers pool by entering into contracts with global manufacturers, but at the same time is working to create its own rolling stock production.
Portugal: Several global producers, CRRC, Alstom, Siemens, Hitachi, Stadler, CAF, became known as contestants for the state railway operator CP contract for the $927 mln USD supply of 117 electric trains.
Spain: A €35 mln loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) will be used for innovative projects that the manufacturer plans to implement in the country in 2021-2024.
Norway: The state-owned leasing company that provides rolling stock to the country's passenger carriers plans to purchase up to 100 trains.
