US: The 17.7 km long first section of the light metro Skyline is launched in Honolulu. It has nine stations with platform doors. The entire line will start operation in the spring of 2031.
Japan: The passenger operator unveiled the first train with a top speed of 300 km/h. Its Tsubasa commercial operation is scheduled for the spring of 2024.
USA: This year the RailPulse joint venture is preparing to bring a telemetry platform to the market, providing real-time visibility of location, health, etc of the railcar.
Germany: Alstom, Hitachi Rail, Siemens Mobility, Stadler and a number of other players unveiled their trains. At the same time, new solutions of locomotive-hauled passenger coaches were presented by Deutsche Bahn.
Japan: As the tests of the E956 series train are completed, Takeshi Matsunuma, Editor-in-Chief of Toyo Keizai, reviewed the high-speed train prototypes that have been produced since the early 1990s.

Italy: A mock-up of the Hitachi Blues train with traction system, which includes diesel, catenary and batteries, was presented in Florence in March. The first Blues should be delivered to the Tuscany region by the end of 2022.
USA: In first years, the site will produce metro cars in order to deliver it to Washington. The volume of investments should be to $70 mln USD.
