EU: Since the beginning of the year, the manufacturer has been awarded contracts with various European customers for the delivery of about 300 Vectron locomotives of different modifications.
UK: A mock-up of the head car was shown at the Siemens Mobility plant in Goole. It is planned to produce 47 Inspiro trains at the site, but the implementation of the contract depends on the prospects for public funding.
Russia: Ural Locomotives received EU certificate for the relevant assembly technology, and also initiated the development of a domestic standard as part of the UIRE standardization program.
Germany: The company's strategy is aimed at the development of additive manufacturing to provide spare parts for repair depots in all countries. Since 2013, Siemens Mobility has already produced over 13,000 parts by 3D printing.
Portugal: Several global producers, CRRC, Alstom, Siemens, Hitachi, Stadler, CAF, became known as contestants for the state railway operator CP contract for the $927 mln USD supply of 117 electric trains.
Germany: The manufacturer has signed a contract with NEB for the supply and service of 6 such trains for operation in the Berlin region. Mireo Plus H will have hybrid traction of hydrogen fuel cells and batteries.
Hungary: The project was presented jointly by the German manufacturer and Budapest transport company (BKV) early of November. Currently, the computer vision is the part of the Siemens Tram Assistant (STA).
USA: The funds will be provided by the Federal Transport Administration (FTA) as a part of a massive five-year $1.2 trln USD infrastructure investment plan approved by US President Joe Biden last week.
