Belgium: Currently only one tram has started operating on a line. Alstom is to deliver the whole ordered fleet of 90 trams to the country's capital by 2026.
Netherlands: NS national operator has started the final test phase of one five-car and one eight-car vehicle. A gradual launch of a 79-train fleet is expected to begin on domestic lines in December.
Kazakhstan: Prime minister Alihan Smaiylov introduced plans for the delivery of locomotives, passenger, and freight cars for the fleet of the national operator and its subsidiaries.
France: In September 2022, the second automatic metro line with trains by Siemens was launched in Rennes. Two months later, new rolling stock for Marseille and Île-de-France was unveiled at Alstom’s plant in Petite-Forêt.
Michel Boccaccio, the producer's vice president in the region, indicated in an interview with BNamericas that he sees the markets of Brazil, Mexico and Chile as the most promising, and noted the region's major challenges.
Spain: National operator awarded three contracts totalling a value of €858.4 mln for 97 electric trains. All the rolling stock will be manufactured in Spain.
France: The company plans to build a generator tender producing electricity from high-power hydrogen fuel cells by 2025.
Germany: The producers have won a tender from DB Fernverkehr. Once the development of the two concepts is completed, a further tender for the production of the first batch of trains is expected to be announced.
Germany: Alstom, Hitachi Rail, Siemens Mobility, Stadler and a number of other players unveiled their trains. At the same time, new solutions of locomotive-hauled passenger coaches were presented by Deutsche Bahn.
