France: In an interview with LeMagIT, the Enterprise Data Director of Alstom discussed the upcoming merger of ERP systems of both manufacturers, as well as other priority tasks for the company in the IT field.
China: The CRRC's plant in Tangshan produced the first of 18 four-section trams under a 2020 contract for Porto. This delivery is the first urban rail contract for CRRC in EU.
South Korea: Hyundai Rotem, Woojin Industrial Systems and Dawonsys got a $43,1 mln USD fine for taking part in the collusion on $2.1 bln USD contracts for the supply of rolling stock for local operators.
Austria: The project has been implemented by the freight operator since 2019 together with the A1 mobile operator and is aimed at equipping up to 12,000 freight cars with SmartCargo telematics devices.
Russia: The first 71-923M “Bogatyr-M” trams with the Cognitive Tram Pilot active automated driver assistance system have entered the route. The city has already received 9 such vehiclse since May this year.
Indonesia: New rolling stock is to be shipped to the country between August and September for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed line, which is expected to start operation next year. The Qingdao plant in China has already completed production and testing of 11 KCIC400AF trains.
India: Over the next three years, the company intends to increase the annual production of freight cars at its Titagarh plant from 8,000 to 12,000 units, as well as to build facilities to produce metro trains.
Russia: The launch of production is scheduled for 2023. The declared amount of investments is 1.3 bln RUR ($20.5 mln USD) and it is planned to receive the state support from the Industrial Development Fund.
EU: The Spanish manufacturer obtained a plant in France, as well as intellectual rights for two platforms of multiple units.
