China: The 28.8 MW electric six-section locomotive has starting tractive effort of 2,280 kN and entered into operation in June 2021. Shen24 tripled volume of coal cargo service in Shanxi and Shaanxi, increasing it by 25 mln t annually.
China, South Korea: Traction systems of both trains with supercapacitors have travel range of 600 km. With a top speed of 160 km/h, CRRC’s train outruns the one by South Korea’s Woojin Industrial Systems accelerating to 110 km/h.
USA: The country’s Department of Defense has included CRRC in the list of companies that are suspected to carry out a defense order in China. Based on this list, the US President may introduce sanctions later.
Germany: Alstom, CRRC, Siemens Mobility, Stadler and a number of other market players presented their locomotives at the InnoTrans exhibition in Berlin. Moreover, Siemens and Alstom announced new rolling stock orders.
South Africa: A new tender is planned to be announced. This became possible after a court decision to suspend the contracts for the supply of 1,064 locomotives, concluded in 2014.
Thailand: The EA energy company has received the first battery-powered vehicle from a manufacturer. This is the second export delivery of battery-powered locomotives for CRRC.
China: A nine-car train for the Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro was produced at the manufacturer's site in Zhuzhou. This is the first CRRC metro rolling stock equipped with rubber-tired wheels.
China: The CRRC's plant in Tangshan produced the first of 18 four-section trams under a 2020 contract for Porto. This delivery is the first urban rail contract for CRRC in EU.
Indonesia: New rolling stock is to be shipped to the country between August and September for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed line, which is expected to start operation next year. The Qingdao plant in China has already completed production and testing of 11 KCIC400AF trains.
