German components producer has closed a deal to acquire Swiss electronics and signalling technology supplier duagon. The purchase price is estimated at approximately €0.5 bln.
India: The German company has submitted documents to receive approval for the construction of a new 18.6-hectare facility in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
UK: The German component manufacturer and VTG Rail UK, the British division of the leasing company, have signed an agreement for the delivery of at least 2,000 sets of the FreightControl Sentinel system.
Germany: The solution is based on the LEADER technology, which has been installed on DB Cargo’s locomotives since 2018. Currently, the German freight operator leverages the system on 650 vehicles.

UK: The FreightControl Sentinel system has been installed on the JPA cement tank cars, operated by Heidelberg Materials UK, the British division of the German company.
Austria: The tests were conducted with technical support from Siemens Mobility and the Austrian operator ÖBB.
Germany: The holding company for components production has announced that the eight-year bonds with a coupon rate of 3.25% have a volume of €500 mln.
UK: The British division of Heidelberg Materials has announced its intention to equip 32 of its cement tank cars with the iWagon solution from Knorr-Bremse. A further 32 railcars will also be acquired with the same equipment.
