Last week the Russian government received the latest progress report on production of the trainset for the Moscow–St Petersburg high-speed line.
Russia: On 6 February, the low-floor 71-233A was put into service on a route in the city of Yekaterinburg.
Russia: The development is being undertaken by two engineering centres, part of Sinara – Transport Machines: the design bureau of the Kalugaputmash plant and STM’s own research and development centre.
Russia: Sinara – Transport Machines (STM) has presented the first unit of its new-generation PMA-3 tamping, lining and levelling machine, which has been assembled at the Kalugaputmash plant, part of the company.
Russia: Sinara – GRT has been granted the certificate of compliance over a three-year period for the low-floor 71-233A model fitted with bogies for operation on 1,524 mm gauge tracks.
Russia: Two five-car trainsets have started operation on the route Yekaterinburg–Druzhinino–Krasnoufimsk. As reported, the rolling stock is scheduled for running every day.
