EU: The goal is to commence equipping the entire European freight fleet of 500,000 cars with digital automatic coupling, DAC, in 2028, despite criticism.

Italy: Ironbox, a start-up company developing post-wheel technologies, tested a proprietary technology, Ironlev, on a two km section of the existing route between Adria and Mestre, Italy.
