Egypt: Company representatives announced the plans at the opening of the first phase of an industrial complex in the city of New Borg El Arab, near Alexandria. The project is being delivered by Al Gharably, an Egyptian engineering and construction company.
India: US-based freight car builder has acquired a 32% stake in the joint venture Touax Texmaco Railcar Leasing. The company was established in 2011 by Texmaco Rail, one of India's largest freight wagon manufacturers, and Touax Group.
Russia: RZD TV has aired an extended feature on the pilot project to digitalise the Chelyabinsk-Glavny marshalling yard, under way since 2023. It included a detailed look at the robotic and unmanned solutions being introduced.
Germany: The deal was struck by the European arm of the US wagon builder as part of the insolvency proceedings opened last week against the German freight operator.
