Russia: The manufacturer has announced that a large-scale three-year project to automate the welding campus at its plant in Tver has come to an end.
RUB 2.8 bln ($31.3 mln) in investment was spent to overhaul assembly and welding lines for roofs and side walls of cars.
The implementation of the project saw five bespoke unique equipment units installed at the plant in Tver, with three additional auxiliary ones, among which were a vacuum lifting beam to feed blank sheets to a side-wall welding machine, universal tilting tables for side walls and a set of floor-standing chain tilters for car body roofs.
