Italy: The investment plan covering the period 2024-2026 impacts several sites.

The Savigliano plant will get new production lines for regional trains as well as a new building for testing hydrogen vehicles and the high-speed Avelia Stream 300 trains. The Vado Ligure site will be expanded with a maintenance facility for regional trains. Alstom’s plant in Nola is planned to be extended with a paint booth for high-speed trains. There will also be contributions to the company’s infrastructure.

With nine production sites and 39 depots, Alstom employs more than 4,000 people in Italy. Besides, the company collaborates with over 1,500 local suppliers.

Under the investment programme of the national railway operator FS, the French manufacturer is delivering the Coradia Stream regional trains, including the hydrogen ones, and the Traxx locomotives. Alstom also provides maintenance for a fleet of the Avelia Stream (Pendolino) and AGV trains and their signalling systems.
