Ukraine: The project was presented to veterans, medical and public organisations last Friday.
Yevgeny Lyaschenko, chairman of the board of directors of the national operator, said that Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) plans to produce the coach at its own facilities as early as next year.

The coach is designed with four compartments, each with sleeping berths of two types. An adjustable berth for passengers with reduced mobility allows the angle of inclination to be changed and the body to be immobilised, while a standard berth is available for attendants. Other features include a lighting control panel, a conductor call button, and a loudspeaker device. The ramp and specially fitted toilet are adapted for people in wheelchairs.

The current fleet of the national operator comprises 50 passenger coaches with compartments for passengers with reduced mobility, but no coaches specially designed for them.
