Turkiye: In the short term, the national manufacturer plans to complete the tests and obtain a TSI certificate.
Following assembly in the summer of 2024, the first four-car train left the Sakarya plant in December. The €47 mln contract provides for the delivery of eight such trains. The Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality ordered them for the Gaziray commuter line.

Each 96 m aluminium-bodied train can reportedly accommodate up to 1,000 passengers. When running on 25 kW AC lines, the train can reach 90 km/h, with a design speed of 120 km/h.

According to Türasaş, the new trains have been developed entirely domestically. The train, which has 70% local content, is equipped with a traction, control and diagnostic systems from TÜBİTAK RUTE. Previously, the manufacturer had mastered the production of regional EMUs.
