Russia: The TMH plant in Tver has been awarded a certificate of conformity under the Customs Union Technical Regulation TR CU 001/2011.

The certificate authorises serial production of 61-4535 compartment-type staff coaches built to the enlarged T loading gauge for a period of five years, until December 2030. The new coach was first showcased at the PRO//Motion.Expo railway trade fair in August.

The model 61-4535 is designed to accommodate up to 12 passengers. It features two compartments for passengers with reduced mobility and their attendants, dedicated compartments for the train manager and on-board service attendant, a separate luggage room for bulky items, a fully equipped kitchen area, as well as utility and storage rooms.

The coach is fitted with automated lifting platforms for boarding and alighting passengers with reduced mobility, and two toilets, one of which is accessible.

The new model exceeds the dimensions of the standard 1-VM gauge coach by 28 centimetres in width and 73 centimetres in length. The use of the T loading gauge made it possible to enlarge compartment and berth dimensions by 16 centimetres in length and 10 centimetres in width, enabling a revised interior layout and the addition of extra service spaces.

TMH has been developing its new range of passenger coaches to the T loading gauge for several years. Earlier this year, another T-gauge coach—the compartment-type model 61-4533—successfully passed certification, while a non-compartment version, model 61-4534, is expected to be certified by the end of next year.
