Czech Republic: The manufacturer has signed a €300 mln contract with Arriva’s Czech division on supply of 22 such trains. The new vehicles are expected to enter revenue service in Czechia late in 2028.
The order envisages 16 three-car and six four-car RegioPanter 26Ev trainsets with 224 and 315 seats. Both types will be designed to run on 25 kV AC and 3 kV DC lines. The trains will feature a 50% low-floor configuration, with the four-car units incorporating a first-class car and a bistro section.
The new fleet is reported to be fitted with an ATO system, which will reduce energy consumption to 15%. The trains will also be equipped with components’ technical health diagnostics system.
