USA: The coaches were moved from the Sacramento plant to the Transportation Technology Center operated by ENSCO in Pueblo for year-long trials. Six to eight coaches of this type are to be launched as part of Venture trains, commencing operation in 2026 on the Amtrak Cascades route in the Northwestern United States.

The train boasts a rated maximum speed of 200 km/h and offers seating for more than 300 passengers, its interior featuring several travel classes as well as a cafe zone.

Siemens Mobility is to deliver 83 push-pull trains under the 2021 $4.9 bln contract with the passenger operator Amtrak and the 2023 option for it. In the works are several traction configurations: diesel, diesel-catenary, battery-catenary.

Amtrak claims as many as 100 suppliers across 31 states engaged in the production of more than 3,500 components, with more than 2,000 parts manufactured by 16 Californian companies.
