Poland: The future rolling stock will be designed for the Solidarity transport hub under construction by the state company CPK. Previously, it was reported that the project includes 2,000 km of high-speed railway tracks and a purchase of 100–200 trains.

As for high-speed trains, CPK intends to acquire the InterCity trains. Their speed must exceed 300 km/h. Additionally, the company will purchase AeroExpress vehicles for the Warsaw airport–Lodz line and InterRegio units, both with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.

The trains are to be leased out to other operators under long-term contracts. The exact order volumes are not disclosed, but the AeroExpress units are estimated at PLN 8.7 bln (€2.1 mln).

Earlier, Poland started preliminary market consultations with the local Pesa, which is developing such rolling stock, and other global players: Alstom, CRRC, Siemens, Stadler, Talgo, etc.
