USA: The interior design renderings have been released by the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) which is responsible for the Merced–Bakersfield high-speed rail line.

The authority has unveiled sketches for individual seating arrangements in a train: premium, cocoon, and compartment. Additionally, seating options for the comfort-class cars have been presented.

The CHSRA’s tender is now underway, and Alstom and Siemens Mobility are shortlisted as potential suppliers for six high-speed 350 km/h trains. The first renderings of the preliminary interior design were published by CHSRA back in 2023, followed by sketches of a dining car, family area, and bike storage. Other HSR interior renderings are also actively showcased by the Brightline West company which is already constructing another high-speed rail line, connecting Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
