Thailand — SRT, the state-owned railroad operator has approved the purchase of 182 passenger coaches. A sum of BHT 10.5 bln (over $300 mln) has been earmarked for sleeping and seating coaches of various classes. If the Thai government accepts the plan, the tender will be completed in 2026 and deliveries will start in 2028. In 2016, passenger coaches for SRT were supplied by CRRC. Now, the country is strengthening its competence in manufacturing them as well.
