Croatia: The four-car set for national passenger operator HŽPP is under construction at the Zagreb plant. According to schedule, it is due for delivery to the customer by end-July, with all six ordered trains to be completed by year-end.
The rolling stock is intended for operation on the partially electrified 429 km line between Zagreb and Split. Each 75 m low-floor train will have 150 seats, including 18 in first class. The trains will be designed for 160 km/h maximum speed and equipped with ramps, bicycle spaces and areas for passengers with reduced mobility.

The contract for six trains with traction from two diesel engines and overhead line power was signed in July 2024. The project is funded by a €57.3 mln European Investment Bank loan.
Currently under production at the Končar plant are 19 trains for HŽPP and 20 trams for Zagreb. Besides this order, the company is fulfilling last year’s contract for 13 hybrid trains: five diesel-catenary, four battery-catenary and four battery-only. The operator also plans to procure 36 more trains, but funding is not yet secured.
